I purchased this to keep nanny on track while I am at work. I was not able to connect to internet as I am not familiar with these things. But I set it to record daily and would come home and monitor daily activity. You can connect smart phone to this and view activity from anywhere online, you just have to know how to set it.
Video Quality was OK at Best, GUI for Software was NOT user friendly. Video bleeped in and out. Buy something else.
