When I am alone with my music at the end of a hard day, I really wanted some power behind it. My best friend has a pyle receiver that cranks out good power, but I have better speakers, and so I thought I'd find out what my system sounds like when I put some power to them. Pretty darn good, i'd say! I love the clear display that I can see from across the room. The microphone jack is conveniently located FRONT AND CENTER: pay attention Sony!! Why would you want it any other way?I have had a Kenwood reciever for over 30 years and wanted to upgrade. I bought this one and it was very easy to set up. It seems to work ok. The problem I have with this item is when you cut it on, it blares out at 18db. I called the company and they said they could disarm the volume preset for free, but it would cost shipping both ways. It was an inexpensive unit and the shipping would take it over the top. At this point I am thinking about selling it. I have only had it for one day.the fan keeps it cool but is a little louder than i would like, basic as far as i can tell, works as described.the remote is the best way for me to control it cause i can't adjust the eq without it.I wanted this for the fact that it plays mp3s from either an SD card or a thumbdrive.
It does this, but it only plays things in order. No way to view folders or files. And no way
to navigate between songs...just gotta let it play.
I had a feeling that would be the case when I ordered it, so it's not a deal breaker.
Also, the fan is very loud. Much louder than I expected. But again, not a deal breaker.
Over all, this reciever puts out good sound, nice a clear. It's not a "name brand", but it does the job.
