JVC DOUBLE CASSETTE DECK

JVC DOUBLE CASSETTE DECKI am very pleased with the dual cassette recorder. The only drawback was the high speed dubbing wasn't really high speed. It was just fast enough to sound like mickey mouse talking but only saved a couple of minutes time over normal record. I can live with that.

This is a nice dual-cassette deck with the sound quality you would expect from JVC. The downsides, for my use, are the analog displays (rolling counters, etc.), lack of pitch control, and lack of microphone / headphone plug-ins. Digital displays make precise track positioning much easier, a real bonus when doing recordings. Pitch control is a near necessity when using pre-recorded music as a background to singing since so many songs are either too high or too low for my vocal range. A microphone input is a nice touch that eliminates the need for an external mixer when recording single-microphone voice-overs. Had I researched this deck more thoroughly I would have passed on it and gone for one with all of the features I want; however, the sound quality is good and it will serve nicely as a mixer-based recorder.

This is a solid, basic, smooth operating piece of equipment that delivers the sound on older cassettes or the ones recorded on it. Very pleased.

The service was great very quick and the cassette player was in the unopened original box. All instructions and cables were included. I recommend this seller to anyone.

I bought this dual cassette recorder to enable me to digitize my old audio cassette tapes that are no longer available even in CD format. The MP3s came out very clean, no audible hiss. I'm glad I bought this over the more expensive brands and models. It doesn't have auto reverse, but I don't need it for what I do with it.
