I was searching for a microphone that I could use in a conference room at the office for Skype meetings with many people in the room. I had several demonstrations from A/V vendors come to the office. The requirement was that it needed to work with Skype since we have so many remote employees and partners and Skype meetings are very frequent around here. We tried several demos including in-ceiling microphone arrays etc. but none of them were that great and in some cases, 10x the price!I found the Microcone when I searched Amazon for a USB microphone array and took a chance on it since Amazon has a great return policy. Everyone I have asked says the sound quality is exceptionally clear and everyone can be heard from all areas of the room. I have tried both close up (appx 12") and as far as about 12'.
This is an exceptional product and I'm very pleased.
