Neither HDMI port worked on this when it arrived. I tried it on two tvs with many different HDMI cables. I would avoid this product.

USed this to wire my DVD and satellite directly to the TV throught the waal.

I wanted a wall plate to put in a media closet and this worked great. I ran 50' of HDMI cable through my attic and connected it this piece. After two months of use, it is still working great. This wall plate is a great option for people, like me, who like clean connections.

Purchased two of these and both ports on both parts are very sensitive. Plugs inside the wall are nice and tight and work well. The outside ones though are a different matter. You have to make sure and seat the the cable connector firmly all the way in, then make sure you don't move it. Any movement at all and the picture, sound, or both will quit and you have to take it off and reseat it. Tryed 3 different cables, same result.
