XDIMAX GREX-7.4 Grex Video Stabilizer

XDIMAX GREX-7.4 Grex Video StabilizerI purchased this item because all my Comcast channels are copyright protected. This device is very simple to connect,... IN, OUT and plug it in. Now my DVD/VCR recorder no longer blocks me from recording whether it's a tape or a DVD. I did not notice degradation in picture quality but then it depends on what speed you record. I do however, take the time to disconnect it if I don't plan on using it for any length of time. No point leaving it powered up for weeks or months if you don't use it. Sound and picture seem to be synchronized perfectly.

The Grex is a plastic ovoid unit about 3.25" x 2.25" x 1.25" H. It comes with a compact wall-wart power supply. It has the following connections:

Input and output for a standard video cable (like a composite video cable).

Input and output for S-Video cables.

The unit will accept composite, component, or S-Video connections. Note that it does not accept a co-ax cable. Anyone looking to buy one of these should go to the Grex site (xdimax.com/grex/grex.html) and click on "connection diagram". The diagrams there are easy to understand at a glance and should answer most connection questions.

I have been using the Grex for 2 months without a problem. I have it inserted between a vcr/dvd combo player and a dvd recorder. It works fine for me with both vcr tapes and dvd's.

I was skeptical but took a chance and got it. I had these really great Bugs Bunny cartoons on VHS which have copy guard and was so angry that I might have to pay someone to put them onto DVD. I mean heck I bought these tapes legally and I could find no suitable replacement for them on DVD. By the time I would have had to pay someone to tranfer these tapes for me I would have been able to buy the XDIMAX GREX-7.4 Video Stabilizer. So I bought the device. I also have some other VHS tapes, which I bought as well, many years ago, with some of my favorite movies on them. So I put a few of them onto DVD. So far I have been very pleased.

After many years of getting all the pieces I need to transfer all my VHS tapes to blue ray, this was the last piece I needed to transfer store bought ones and it works just like it was described and it is well worth the price.

Want XDIMAX GREX-7.4 Grex Video Stabilizer Discount?

First of all, I ordered this from Amazon itself. I would recommend everyone do that. You will get it much faster. The price is very cheap for what this can do. It took only a minute to hook this up to my system and it is as easy as pressing the record button. I bought this for backing up master copies of my treasured stuff and also for making my own compilations of tv shows and episodes how I want them. For instance, I collect Christmas episodes of tv shows. In most cases I already bought the series. I can now make my own dvd compilations of Christmas episodes and exactly as I want them. At Christmas I wont have to keep getting up from my chair to get different episodes from different DVD sets and I wont have to compromise picture and sound quality. I should be able to do this for myself after already spending all my money on expensive releases of so many shows. I will now have the ability to make some pretty impressive collections. This GREX device blows away the competition for those devices that only allow you to copy protected VHS to DVD. The ability to copy protected DVD to DVD is a great thing indeed. I'm only making copies for myself. Better still is I can take a DVD movie that is rated R and edit it for my child without loss of picture or sound. Thank you so much for having such a wonderful product!!!!
