Rode MiCon-2 Connector for 3.5mm Select Stereo Devices

Rode MiCon-2 Connector for 3.5mm Select Stereo Devices
  • Micon to 3.5mm Stereo Adapter
  • An Adapter for Your RODE Mic! Wireless Adapter/Cable s:lilrode
  • RODE MiCon to Standard 1/8" Adapter

Works, but insultingly expensive.

(If these things in fact cost nothing to make, Rode might want to rethink this, and lower the price. People will be much happier with them if a $300+ mic of theirs comes with a whole PACK of these, covering all common sockets. I wonder how many people, like me, receive their stuff, realizing they forgot to get the adapters, and can't use their thing until a 2nd order arrives. An *expensive* second order.)

These were for my Rode Lavalier. I'm a little concerned at the size of the connector, but with that said, I haven't had any issues so far and the connection seems solid.

So the pin mic needs phantom power to work, and none of my recording units have phantom power in a 3.5mm jack, only the 3 pin XLR jacks provide phantom power. That goes for mixing boards and what not too.
