I use this as a security camera and the option of 30 second video clips plus a still photo with data stamp works really well to establish a timeline. I purchased two 8 GB SD cards so I can switch them out to review one while still keeping the camera in service, and I would recommend a high capacity SD card since the video takes up a lot of space. Even so, I can leave it unchecked for a month or so without checking it and there is still space left on the card, of course this depends on how much activity you are trying to catch. All in all, nice unit and the IR flash is very low profile so it usually escapes the notice of anyone or any animals being filmed if you place the camera correctly.

I have owned this product for 1.5 years...works great !!picture gets washed out, but only if facing the sun AT DUSK. I have mine set on 3 pic burst at 5mp resolution and the batteries last for about 3 mos. I have recently purchased 2 more. This is a very good and durable camera. Works perfect with a 2gb Sandisc card. I would recomend this product to anybody...and great for a security camera to watch over your cabin/hunting camp while you are away. Great value for the money!

After setting the date and time the camera would usually revert to the out of the box settings. the green test lamp would sometimes stay on instead of blinking and going out as it should. the motion detecter is slow and isn't very sensitive and doesn't work through glass and only worked in a distance of ten feet or less instead of thirty. when it was set to do a burst of pictures it would only do one and wait for the next cycle and do another. it isn't very stealth at night, the infrared cluster glows red when it makes a picture which may be ok for animals that only see black and white or shades of gray but not so good if you want to see who is sneaking around your home at night. The picture quality was good enough for the type camera and the batteries lasted well but after working with it for about ten days to try solving the problems with the settings, I returned it. This is the first thing I returned to Amazon and it was a great experience, no hassle at all.

Have had my stealthcam for about a year now and really enjoying the opportunity to see all the nocturnal wild life that pass through my yard. The night feature is important since the bears, bobcats, foxes, possums, racoons and and deer are mostly night time visitors. The camera is set up on a tri-pod on my lower deck overlooking a wooded trail. It's easy to use and downloading the pictures to my computer via USB is a snap. I usually sort and delete the photos of squirrels which dominate and then save the others to share with family and neighbors. My only complaint is that the battery life is shorter than expected but picture quality is good and I recommend it to people in wooded suburban areas as an inexpensive and interestng way to see who your neighbors are.
