I bought this tv tuner for a way to record shows to dvd without buying the dvd from the channel. This tv Tuner is amazing!, it records in real 1080 High Definition. This even comes with its own little remote, i mean little! The setup was very simple. I put in the cd, which comes with great software, which was easy to help configure the tv tuner. What you do is you put the cd in, run setup, then it asks you questions like, Which type of cable service do you have, Cable, Antenna, Satilite. then it searches for channels, and its done. It also comes with a free subscription to a Electronic Program Guide. All you do to record is you click record. To set a record you just enter the time start, time end, date, channel, and name, and your ready. You can even exit the tv tuner program because it runs a backround program so it can start the tv tuner when its time to record. I recomend this to anyone who wants a great tv tuner for a reasonable price.

p.s. the tv tuner is extremely durable, it is made of a heavy impact resistant plastic.

I actually bought this TV Tuner in the end of December. However, I recieved this product on January 7. I installed the driver and software following all the directions. It could not find any over-the-air channels. Be sure to check to see if you have free-to-air TV in your area. Anyway, I uninstalled and reinstalled both the driver and software 3 times. I thought this was just another cheap TV Tuner. I called Diamond twice, the first time the lady told me it was because I don't live in the inner city and I should go out and purchase rabbit ears. After doing that it still couldn't find any channels. I called Diamond back and spoke to a really nice man who told me it was the Tuner itself and I should send it back. So I emailed amazon and they sent me a new one right away. This one works perfectly. Don't use the antenna suplied with the tuner, instead use rabbit ears and you will find a lot more channels. All in all, it has been a great TV Tuner for me.

If you just want to play with HD TV, this product is fine.It will get you strong local stations sometimes.I like to play with it to see what I can get today sometimes four channels, sometimes none. If one really wants reliable HDTV, one needs a real outside antenna.

The tuner gives good reception of cable channels but HDTV is limited severely if you are 35-50 miles from transmitter. Could not get TV schedule integrated in the software to work but can set up as web page so schedule is available. Remote works if directed to side of tuner. I would probably rather have a card in PMCIA slot but these cost more.

antenna is not powerful enough, also it takes quite a long time to scan all the problem each time you change your pc location. ** i am using notebook for this. the base for the antenna doesn't work, cheap one.

once channel scanned (limited hd channel) quality and speed are pretty good.
