So then I had to figure out the SD card issue because what's the point of using this thing if it can only hold 38 pics? After searching for people who had similar issues (seems to be problematic in other brands as well) and calling Stealth Cam, I figured it was the SD card I was using. Apparently, trail cams are very finicky with the types of SD cards they can read/write. It was recommended from Stealth Cam to use a SanDisk 4GB SD card with this unit. I got one and went home to try it out. Sure enough, the pics and video were now viewable on my computer. The daytime video turned out quite nice, too.
I can't give a review on durability, lifespan, or range since I only had it working since today. I will be testing it this coming season, so if anything breaks down or doesn't work properly I'll be sure to let you know.

This camera sucks. The flash images are washed out. I ordered a lock system for my 1850 and the lock system sent fits over the cord to hold it to the tree and the lock system is sloppy and still had to go buy a pad lock. Pictures are grainy for a 8 mm. I've called the tech line at Stealth and it busy day and night and they won't answer my emails for the last three weeks for help.Julie

It just doesn't do anything. It doesn't take pictures, doesn't store pictures, and "doesn't work with MAC". Look elsewhere.
