I just received this camera but haven't used it yet. One thing that made me feel comfortable buying it was that it was a Sony product. Upon receipt, there's no way this was produced by Sony. I'm not sure why the are comfortable using the Sony brand name on their product. Also, the manual is really hard to understand. It appears to be written by someone who speaks English as a second language. They also threw in a photo copy of instructions that aren't easily understood. I'm hopeful that we will be able to get the camera up and running. Lastly, the photo shows it mounted on a tripod which is critical. I didn't see a hole in the bottom to mount a tripod but maybe there are other parts in the box that will make that happen. Anyway, I'm a bit nervous about my purchase and just wanted to put this information out there.

Update: With the help of a tech-savy friend, got the camera set up last night. It worked well. We put it in my son's room. Didn't realize how sensitive it is and it captured every move he made during the night even though he could barely been seen through the slats in his crib. The only draw back so far is it is NOT mountable on a tripod. Have no idea why they are showing it on a tripod when there is no hole in the bottom of the camera to screw into a tripod. We set it on the desk which worked fine though I would have preferred to be able to use a tripod.

I purchased this for a ghost hunt. It was by far the worst thing I have ever purchased. Half the time it didn't work and sometimes when I would put in my settings (save the settings) and they would default back to the manufacture settings. It was really annoying. I sent it back for a refund and ended up buying a IR game camera instead, which works perfectly.

We have one and have found a major flaw with it. You must connect it to a TV monitor screen to set the device up. This is not a piece of equipment that can be used in a remote location without a TV monitor to adjust the settings. The disigners should have included a built-in viewing screen to adjust teh settings with.

I use the camera in all of our investigations. It works great! Clear pictures, and ease of use make this a first rate camera for this price.
