Sakar Dora Digital Video Recorder

I just purchased this camcorder a few hours ago and had to interrupt my busy Sunday schedule to make sure no else purchases this garbage. First of all the box does not indicate the type of batteries required anywhere, 4AAA, which would have been helpful when purchasing it.

Second, after opening the box, purchasing batteries, plugging it in and turning on the power switch....nothing happens.

A quick read through the 'Quick Start Guide' reveals that an SD Card of up to 16GB is required for operation.

Another trip outside to purchase an SD Card , about $30 more, followed by an install of the card and .... nothing happens. Have you ever looked a disappointed Dora fan in the face and had to explain that the toy with her picture on it doesn't actually work.

Interestingly the box includes a bright yellow leaflet explaining "PLEASE DO NOT RETURN TO IF ANY PROBLEM WITH THIS CAMERA. FOR ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE CALL...877-397-8200"

IT WAS A GIFT SOMEONE AND SHE JUST LOVES IT, BUT THE PACKAGE WAS A LITTLE damaged but the recorder was fine

This was a waste of money. I agree with the other reviews...terrible product and terrible return policy. I hate the part of needing to buy the SD card for a 4 battery operated toy that is NOT durable

This camera stopped working the week after we got it. The screen shows a line in it. It is very cheap and not worth the money. Buyer beware!!!
