Sony DEJ715 CD Walkman (Grey)

Sony DEJ715 CD Walkman
  • Ultra slim, lightweight design includes street-style headphones and in-line remote control
  • Optical digital-audio output and CD text to MD data transfer capability
  • Sony G-Protection antiskip buffer provides 10-times faster shock recovery
  • Extended playback delivers up to 32 hours of continuous play
  • Includes 64-track programmable CD memory, carrying accessory, and two AA NiCad batteries

Many people pass on this model because the remote on the headphone wire has no digital display...which is too bad because most of the other wired remotes are so hefty that they have to be clipped on to your shirt or jacket or they'll dangle and pull the headphones down. The wired remote on this model has no display, this is true, but the advantage is that it is practically weightless, it's a tiny piece a little larger than a quarter that has all the basic remote functions...fantastic...

three other big advantages to this model:

(a) It can CD-R's better than most other Sony models (most of them have a terrible time reading CD-R's)

(b)It takes up only a few millimeters more in space than the top of the line model sony puts out right now.

(c) It has more battery life than most of the other Sony portables

Of course the sound is the typical sound you expect from Sony models, full rich bass, sweet high's and all the other good stuff.

Buy Sony DEJ715 CD Walkman (Grey) Now

I just bought this CD player and I wanna tell that it has the best sound I ever heard on CD players. This player has very good Street Style(tm) headphones. G-protection(tm) working very good I didn't have any skipping even when I run. I think this is the best CD player you can buy ... .

I bought this CD player after returning a MZR-DPC Minidisc from Sony. The Minidisc Player did not have enough volume power for my taste. When I compared the sound to this CD player, I decided to keep the CD payer and return the Minidisc.

This Player is well built, very slim and light. The battery life is very good and the rechargeable batteries work as expected. The sound quality is very good, with two bass settings that provide nice bass (although not extraordinary). The headphones are good, and comfortable. Still, I bought the headphones from Sony MDR-G72LP... andthe sound is so much better that you might consider to do this significant investment.

My only complain is the Skip with G-protection. I use the CD player for when I go running and in a pouch located in my back and the player skips all the time. When I take the payer in my hand (using the very nice cover provided with the player) the skipping is gone. Maybe all the CD player skip when located in a pouch?

I highly recommend this product for people willing to get an slim portable with great quality of sound.

Want Sony DEJ715 CD Walkman (Grey) Discount?

I recently bought this, and I think its pretty good but not worth $120. The skip-protection and controls/remote are great, however there are several problems. First, the included carrying looks great but it makes it a big hassle to change CD's. Also, the headphones included cant use the bass features of the discman well, and hurt after wearing them for a while (usually the sound is great though). So if I were you, I would go all out with the 815 or 915 or spend less money on another discman.

I received this walkman for my twelfth birthday and since then I've been using it non-stop. The G-protection is incredible. I wear it when cycling, running and when I practise gymnastics, I've shaken it, dropped it on the floor, even out a window and it doesn't skip at all. Battery life is good and the sound quality is excellent. The player itself is lightweight, attractive and easy to use. The Remote is a great feature and means I don't have to keep getting it out of my bag when I want to change tracks or adjust the volume. There are a wide range of volume settings: I prefer my music fairly quiet and always keep the AVLS switched on. The headphones I swapped for some of my own: the originals were cheap looking, uncomfortable to wear and I prefer the small, in-ear design. However, this is a small drawback and the CD player's other features make it a product that is great value for money. I never regretted choosing this Walkman, and I would recommend it to anyone else.
