I have just purchased my third spindle of 50 of this type of CDR (my first from Amazon). I use the CDR's in my business for transporting large amounts of information (scanned in *.tif images, programs, etc.) and for burning music CD's. Dependibility is a big issue with me as the information I burn to these CD's is often used in court room presentations.I have never once had a problem with this type of CDR. I've used other, more expensive, brands that worked just as well, but these are generally the cheapest. And since I've never had a problem with them, I will continue to use this brand as long as they're available.Based on some web research, I aquired a fifty pack of Fuji CDR media, because they were made in Japan by Taiyo Yuden. The quality was suberb, not a single coaster while burning data and music at 48x.
When that supply ran dry, I discovered that the 100 packs were made in Taiwan-NOT by Taiyo Yuden. The quality was much worse.
I have since found that some of the fifty packs are also not Japanese made, and hence not Taiyo Yuden.
This probably explains the difference in the reviews here at Amazon. If you find a package of Fuji discs marked "Made in Japan", you are getting good Taiyo Yuden discs, but if they are made elsewhere, don't expect the same quality.

I just bought this 50 pak Fuji CD-R and I think the quality is great. I have no problem with them at all. The price is good too, it's not like other brands, such as Maxell or TDK, those cost much more than this one. Fuji is a good choice!Unlike a lot of brands of CD-R media -like Memorex -Fuji manufactures its own discs, so you will always be getting the same quality discs every time you buy a spindle. With other brands -including off-brands and store brands -two spindles on the shelf might be from different plants or manufacturers. One spindle might work great, but that's no predictor of the next one.I've been through 4 spindles of the Fuji CD-Rs without a problem on my HP 8x IDE burner. The overall durability has been good, too.
Telling the difference between CD-R brands can be difficult, but consistency can help make a choice.

These Cd's are great! I've already used about half of them (25) and none of them have had errors, but played perfectly, and it shows how much music/data you have put on with a ring (all Cd-R's have them but this one looks great).Buy Fujifilm instead of more expensive brands like:
Sony
TDK (although these are great!)
Memorex
ETC.
