Gigaware HD 1080p Camcorder (Red) Model 16-998

This is my first digital camera I don't have anything to base it on or compare to. But, I am very happy with it. Its done well for me. Has a long battery life and takes good pictures and video. I also like the editing tools that come on the disk it comes with. I've taken it out in the woods, rock climbing, camping in storms and rain in a cheap tent, and lots more. It has held up very well through all that so far. I've had it for nearly a year. Never dropped it and took care of it and it still works fine.

This camera was good for a while. It takes seriously good picture, and had decent video. I got this camera when it was newer, around 2 years ago. It was 250 dollars . After about 6 months of using it, the camera broke down on me saying "battery not charged" so I would try to charge it and the camera wouldn't charge. So I googled the problem and found out it was the battery.

So, reason told me to get a new battery. So I did. After I got the new battery I dropped my camera. One time.

On of the cheapy plastic parts fell off and it broke a chip off to where the video button wouldn't work. Well, I found a loophole and got the video button to work again. Course after that ALL of the parts started falling off at random times. The screen even stopped holding itself up; not stable.

This was all in one year.

Not worth a dime I can promise you.

Did not know cannot be used with my Imac computer. I do not have Windows and do not want Windows. That's why I have a MAC.
