It is not designed for abuse, and it might not be a good choice for an application where it is being repeatedly moved or reconnected. At a computer store, I can get a 6 foot toslink cable for $29. I went to a big-box store for a 25 ft cable, and they tried to "discount" it to $150 for me... as if THX certification is really that necessary in a piece of glass fiber cable! Don't be fooled by overpriced fiber toslink cables... you don't need "shielding" .. this is delivering light in a glass fiber, not electrons over a wire! These incredibly thin, simple cables will deliver stellar sound to your system. I'm using these cables run behind my baseboard to carry sound from a DVR/Sat box to a stereo surround receiver on the other side of the roomthis cable fits the bill perfectly. I also have one of these from a few years ago feeding sound from a Mac Mini to my receiver in another room.

I purchased this 25 foot optical digital audio cable to run sound from our studio workstation to a home theater system. Despite being a very thin cable, it's solidly made. The sound quality I'm getting across the cable is excellent. You can't beat the performance at this price point. Great value. Best of all, it was delivered before the estimated delivery window! I always appreciate that. I'd definitely buy this item again.Read Best Reviews of L-com Digital Audio Optical TOSLink Cable Optic 25 feet Here

Want L-com Digital Audio Optical TOSLink Cable Optic 25 feet Discount?
I went to Best buy to buy some fiber optic audio cable to hook up my computer to my stereo receiver and the cheapest Best Buy had was 10 ft for $100.00! And they only carried the Monster brand of course. There is no difference between the most expensive and least expensive cables when it comes to most video and audio cables, especially toslink/SPDIF fiber optic cables. So i got a this Toslink 25 ft cable for $13.00 plus shipping, i'm as happy as a clam. And people, please stop paying for expensive cables, you get the same signal from cheap inexpensive cables as you do the most high end expensive cables. Experiments have been performed on people who couldn't tell the difference between cheap and expensive cables, look it up online if you don't believe me. Anyways i'm done ranting, i just don't like it when retailers sell low quality products for more money and make anyone believe it is a high quality product. Thats it.
