I just received this as a gift and I love it! I'm able to record lectures in a big lecture hall and also record conversations in a smaller room. It picks up the voice very well. It's nice to have several settings to record a meeting, voice note, interview and a music performance. When I record interviews, all I have to do is push the record button and push the stop button when done. It automatically creates a file. When I want to record the next interview, I just push the record button and then stop. It creates a second file and so on. It's nice that it creates separate files each time you push the record button. Not sure how long I can record, but I was able to record a total of 4 hours so far (3 separate folders, each folder containing about 15 files/recordings). I can download all the folders and give a name to each one on my desktop. This makes it very easy to find the right recording. When I play back the recording on this recorder, it is surprisingly clear. It's also very simple to erase a track. Not sure why the other person didn't like this recorder. I think it's the best one in the market. I like the compact size also. It's light and fits easily in my pocket and I can even record with the recorder in my pocket. I just started using this a week ago, but if I don't like it, I will post another review later. So far, I've been very satisfied.
