The only reason I quit using mine was I had to purchase a combo when my VHS machine went bad. This unit worked perfectly for me -never had a problem.

Ive owned this dvd player for 2 years at least and never had a big problem yet. In this age of electronics that dont last at all-im pretty sure i got a good one here. The player has always started up and played just like its suppoed to, the remote works great (LOTS of buttons that i am not technical enough to care about) and the picture is very crisp and clear. i like that you can turn the player all the way off in the middle of a movie and when you turn it back on, it starts the movie back where you left off. I think the most important thing to say is, it is quite reliable.

The only cons i can say are that you cannot always operate the player without the remote. there is no "enter" button on the player, and the dvds wont start from the main menu until you get out the remote and hit enter.(there are all the other buttons on the player except this one) I dont know about everyone else, but im always losing remotes, and this is a pain to not be ablr to start it on the player.

2) the player is wide across like 18" and not deep-about 12" so its either too wide to fit in a cabinet, or too short to sit any other devices on top of it. so it has to sit on top of everything, or by iteself. I guess it didnt stop me from buying it, and it works great which is the main thing, so ive been happy with it for the price. no need to spend more money on a better name brand, when this one works just as well!
