Voice Tracer Recorder w Dragon Naturally Speaking

I really bought this because I was after the Dragon transcription software that is usually several hundred dollars. I want to walk more and dictate books I write, not sit another decade enslaved to my PC.

Purchasing the Philips Voice Tracer was the way to go. I was surprised the voice tracer is very cute and I am using it its been here a week a like a kidney to me. I even bought a lanyard for it.

The mind blower is the accuracy of the Dragon Naturally Speaking Software that came with it. It's performance was excellent with only half the voice adaption test done.

The Dragon software is only as good as you train it. I used it years ago, in its infancy, and I have always liked it. But Dragon has come a long way. I only needed to spend 20 minutes to train it instead of days. Even then, I only read half the test before I was interrupted and did not think it caught everything I was ready to redo the entire session.

A few days later I slapped a 1,000 word segment I recorded while driving just to see how much of the voice "orientation" I had to finish and it was 98% accurate with my voice, and only completing half the adaptive test.

Watching everything I uttered type across the monitor so accurately was like watching MAGIC and I could not be more happy. I also know if I upgrade Philips recorders for any reason [and this one is very sufficient] I won't have to re-calibrate the Dragon with my voice. Those files will still be there.

Got this for the Dragon program, but this recorder is so difficult to operate it was not worth it. I usually end up fumbling with this and playing a recording rather than recording an interview. I just messed up recording an important interview because of it. It is difficult to even turn this thing on! I have never written a review before but I felt I should in this case to warn others. I gave someone else my old Olympus and I just went and got it back.

Too complicated, no written instructions, couldn't keep it recording would just stop. RETURNED sjw I nedd a recoerder that u just star or stop, and can transfer info to pc
