Do not be fooled by the size of the cable. It is a thin cable and will seem like something is not right. But on the contrary ! it performs just s good as your top of the line ones. Remember: all you need is a good fiberglass core. The rest is just how much it is protected.

For your average A/V needs this cable will do fine. If you are planning on using this cable for tough use, changes and many relocations . then go for a sturdier one. If all you need is to connect your receiver or tv to your audio device. Then this is the way to go ! It is now there and I have not had to touch it or to reconnect. It just works !

This is a very thin and stiff "cable".

Might be advantageous in some installations, but I have used heaver cables that

feels more substantial to that, and I prefer that sort.

While it is true that optical cables either work, or they don't work, there are still quality differences. I ordered this cable and a shorter cable from a different vendor and this cable is very thick compared to the other one. I feel that the cable will last me a long time.
