I was looking for a better camera to upgrade on of those packaged DVR camera setups. The cameras that came in the DVR box were very narrow and although ok quality they didn't capture much unless mounted very high, which then sacrificed quality. The answer was to replace them with this camera. Althought it wasn't the highest end camera I wanted to test it out first before committing to a very expensive camera. It came with instructions, very well packaged in a foam box and a paper template for drilling holes in the right spots (a very easy but very valuable tool for professional looking results). I had initially purchased this product and setting it up was a breeze. Unfortunately that camera died, black screen, after 2 months (Just outside return warranty). I left it up there for a few months though and didn't bother to contact the manufacturer. I finally got around to trying again and ordered the same one because of how happy I was originally and just chalked up the first one to getting a rotten egg. Thankfully, I have not been disappointed and after a quick mount and replacement, this camera has worked flawlessly since I purchased it a few months ago.
