I got this strap because I didn't like the neck-strap flopping around tangling in stuff.With this set up my camera is always at hand and less likely to drop or snag something. Down side is sweat getting on the camera body.
Anyway, it's so cheap to buy go ahead and get it, if you don't like it Just throw the strap away.
Mine is on the camera full time. Canon XS.
