Kinamax DC-USB20 Universal USB Car Power Charger Adapter for MP3/MP4/Cell/PDA

Can't complain. Worked as expected. No problems so far (5~ months). Using the charger with my Epic 4G.

Been noticing significant power drain after plugging phone into the charger. Ran BetterBatteryStats and came across an interesting issue. For one reason or another, vbus_present (kernel wakelock) continues to run even after unplugging the phone. I had another USB car charger to test and after a few runs, I discovered no vbus_present after unplugging with the other charger.

Basically, the phone WILL NOT go into deep sleep to conserve battery because the phone thinks it is still connected to the charger. The phone will stay 'awake' and drain battery even if the screen is off. Avoid!

What can I say, it works. I currently use it for charging my droidx in the car while traveling. For the money you can't beat it.

Bought this as a cheap way to keep my iPhone 3GS charged on the road, with no luck.

The red light on this unit comes on when plugged in, but does not charge my iPhone 3GS.

So, unit seems to work... Also of note, this is not the first 3rd party iPod/iPhone ac adapter that hasn't worked with the 3GS. Interesting, but also incredibly frustrating. They all worked fine with my first-gen iPhone.
