GE 23321 Component AV Cable (6 Feet)

GE 23321 Component AV CableThese cables are a bit cheezy. They work fine but most electronics you buy throw in higher quality wiring than this. As with a lot of factory cables, they hotmelt the plastic over the RCA plugs. This is mostly good but quality control on mine must have blinked because I had a big air bubble exposing the center wire on one end of six. I just put a glob of silicone in the hole and used it anyway.

Much less expensive than other brands, especially those available through Best Buy or Circuit City. Seems to work just fine.

I got a great price for this set of cables. They function exactly as described. They were used between a HDDVR cable box and a Toshiba flat panel LCD 720P 37" tv. Picture quality is great.

The cables I received are not the ones I ordered in the picture. The video cables in the picture have much larger, more substantial cables than the audio cables, whereas the the ones I received have video cables with the same tiny cables as the audio cable. If this is what I wanted I could have got those for less than half the price of these.

Edit While I didn't get the cables I ordered, the response from CableBuilders was even better than I could have hoped. A definite +1 for how they handled this. Everyone makes mistakes, it's how the mistakes are handled that makes the difference.

The first thing you need to realize is that these are not expensive cables. They do not have gold plated connectors, nor are they the thickest wires you'll see, nor is there a large amount of wire shielding.

However, these are very inexpensive wires, and so you should expect those things.

For the price, these wires are well constructed, and transmit a signal just fine. I'm using them for a DVD player(yes, a dvd player not a bluray or hi-def device) and they work marvelously. I had the dvd player on a standard 3 wire component/AV cable before and I thought the picture was O.K. After receiving and installing this new GE component cable I can see quite an improvement in the video signal. I don't run my cables across any power sources or anything else that would cause signal interference, and so I can't speak as to how they'd do in that situation.

Bottom line is they're very inexpensive, with a good build quality, and a great signal. I'm definitely glad I bought them and would recommend them to anyone else looking at them, if all you need is a simple cable that won't need to withstand a ton of abuse(either physically or interference wise).
