I recently wanted to purchase a VIO POV 1.5M but was unsure I wanted to pay so much money for this product. So I monitored the product for weeks on AMAZON and also on eBay looking for the best deal. After a couple of days of watching, the price would jump up on AMAZON $100! I still monitored it and also checked eBay for their prices. After a couple of weeks the price on AMAZON would drop back down again and as soon as I would check the eBay prices from a particular seller while logged on, the AMAZON price would bump back up $100. After a few weeks of doing this, I noticed that the the seller with an acceptable price on eBay, and had the "Make an Offer" option (I was "Watching" it), was also a sponsor on AMAZON. It occurred to me that maybe AMAZON had increased the price $100 to "entice" me to purchase the item from the same seller on eBay. Ironically, I did finally make a Counter offer with Terms to the seller on eBay using the "Make an Offer" process and inadvertently agreed to purchase the item.
Well, this started a series of actions and attempts to redraw my offer even going through some of the Resolution process without any satisfactory results, which is a long story in itself. I ultimately gave up and paid the eBay seller his money to avoid getting negative Feedback and the very next day, low and behold AMAZON dropped their price for this item even lower than the lowest price on eBay and lower than the lowest previous price on AMAZON, at least on my computer. The very next day! Coincidence? I didn't try it but I imagine that if I had checked prices from a different computer without actually logging on, that I would have noticed different prices.
Disclaimer: Keep in mind that my experience may be an isolated one and may be simply my perception of a collaboration between these two on-line giants with common sellers, and I have no way to substantiate this observation. However, I will be looking at "alternatives" for my purchases from now on.
That is my review of my initial experience of this product and I will provide a review of the use of it when I receive it.
