This product does not work properly. After recording fine the first few times, it consistently fails, creating "RECORD" files that are inoperable. I have had to reset the device twice, and it still does not work right.

This is an excellent, small recording device and storage USB chip. Basically, you just plug it into your USB and let it charge up for about an hour, then put the cap back on it. To record there is one on-off switch.. pretty easy to figure out. It's best if placed on a shelf or table somthing.. if you try to hold it you will probably get interference noise. To play it back, your Winbdows computer will probably recognize it when inserted and open it up automatically where you can play back the recorded wav file. You can then import it or move it to a folder on your computer to play back, edit, save, etc.

There were no instructions included that are shown in the photos above... Not that you need them, but it would be nice to know how long a charge will last, how long you need to charge it initially, what the lights indicate, etc.

Shipping was questionable, a 6x6 thinly padded envelope from China and it took almost two weeks to get here, but mine arrived with no damage that I can tell... so far.

I would recommend that you click the task bar programs and select the "safely remove media" before to disconnect the chip.. this is true of any USB removeable device to be on the safe side and not destroy it with power surges, etc.

This one of mine only worked once, then it never been recognized by any computer with a usb port. When charging and plug into a usb port of a pc, the red light does not go on at all. Is there any driver I am missing? Does anyone have a suggestion?

Got 3 of these and wish I had gotten more. Originally got for my sister because I thought it would help with her project (but I had misunderstood her needs and it wasn't helpful for her). Bought 2 different types to see which worked better result is THIS ONE by far. Great sound, good for clandestine recording as not as much background or scratchy sounds. Very sturdy, had no problem copying or deleting files from it, no instructions but didn't seem to need any "charging" as others had indicated. I'll get more of these as I've given all mine away for other people's uses.
