i bought the piece basically for stage performance of music concerts.

the gain , assigning of tracks is very good.

record quality is excellent.

applying inserts needs some detailed study.

I have not explored DAW functions yet.

over all quality & expectation were met.

the bundled cords & head phone are of good quality.

I bought this to supplement my professional video recording equipment so that I can record 3+ isolated WAV audio tracks for mixing later in a computer program. Since most portable video cameras only record two tracks, the option of more tracks is really great. It's light weight and moderately easy to set up. The only drawback is that it does't record in 48k, just 44.1k. Not a big deal for the work I do. As I haven't used any of the mixing functions, somebody else will have to give you their opinions but for me, all I can say is that I used it eight times now on full day productions and so far it has worked flawlessly.
