Have an old Sony Walkman and this adapter is a good match, works fine. The instructions on the package say not to use with a radio due to interference/static. WTF I said to myself, It was listed by Sony as the model for my radio. Well, I get no static except with AM stations. FM stations are clean. This was a good price and I'd buy it again but forget AM stations on the radio.

I purchased this as a backup to the batteries because I was using it for interviewing. If the battery is drained the quality of the recording is affected. So you may be better off using the adaptor to play it safe.
