Well, aparently "vcp" means "to use in a vehicle", because i had no idea this device is intended to use in a car or bus... well, i will try to adapt the power to 110v, but I'm really disapointed...

Don't waste your money on this player! I bought this player because I dumped my VCR years ago and I wanted to digitize some old, precious VCR tapes I have. At the time, just buying a simple player like the KEC made a lot of sense, and I wasn't put off by the fact that it only runs on 12 volts because I'm an electronics hobbyist and am not intimidated by non-standard hookups. Immediately after I received it, I hooked it up to an electronics-quality, 10-amp DC power supply and then to a $1500 Sony, mini DV recorder, and had nothing but trouble with the player. I tried at least 10 different tapes, and this thing wouldn't track any of them for more than a few seconds without dropping the video and audio. At first I thought the tapes were just too old, but I took them to a friend who has a nice Sony VCR, and they all played fine on the Sony. Concluding the problem was the KEC, I finally ended up buying a used Sony VCR on EBay, and managed to digitize all of my old VCR tapes with no trouble. I should have realized that the KEC player was just too cheap to be any good, but sometimes I am sucker for a bargain. Rather than return the KEC, wasting time and money on a $40 player and potentially passing on the problem to another unsuspecting person, I just threw it away. Bottom line: only purchase this thing if you want to use it in a car or an RV, and then be prepared for endless playback problems.

This was an automobile vcr with a litghter plug in, I thought it was a home veiwing VCR:(
