Do not buy this recorder.

It looks nice and has a color screen, but the recording quality is bad too much background voice. Even the app I have on my Android phone, "Tape-a-Talk," has higher-quality recording. Also, the recorder often skips 1-2 seconds of the recording, so you risk loosing valuable information you've recorded.

The software that comes with it is inconvenient to use. There's no shortcut for the Space Bar to Play/Pause the recording, which i heavily rely on since I often stop a recording to write down the info. The program also has a problem with editing some of the recordings suddenly a recording becomes unselectable and uneditable for some reason.

My recommendation: buy a cheaper recorder, which has proven itself good by many 5-star reviews.

I purchased this for my Spanish class. It records well from right up front and in the back of the class too with the conference setting. So far it seems user-friendly and the voice quality is good enough for my purposes. It does take time to get use to the controls, some of which can be confusing.
