Buy Samsung BD-D7500 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Silver) Now
Plus player mounts nicely to the wall with provided mount and looks cool. Smaller than I expected.Minus will not play standard "DVD Video" disks which is the standard DVD movie/video format like nearly everything you get at netflix or blockbuster. The provided owners manual says that format is supported. Downloaded latest firmware (1003) which did not resolve the problem. Unwilling waste time on 1-800 nonsense and punted unit back to whence it came. Surfed the samsung web site which was unhelpful. Would have liked to have a normal audio/video out connector instead of the 4 way 1/4" plug and the led lighting on the front is annoying. Looking at 4 screw hole mounts in my wall hoping they figure it out and make the black version available here. Maybe some region code mixup?

I upgraded to the BD-D7500 when my BD-D6800 blu-ray player stopped working after 6 months (froze up in the middle of all movies). I was upset with crosstalk in 3D on my UN55C8000 TV set. I always assumed the problem had to be the TV or the glasses or the media. I played the 3D blu-rays I have and low and behold where I had seen crosstalk there was none. It absolutely floored me. I was very happy with this unexpected benefit. Crosstalk was the biggest problem I could see with 3D on the Samsung 2010 models. Who knew adding a 2011 player would fix it. Comparing this setup with the Panasonic top of the line 3D sets (usually acknowledged as the best 3D), it stands up very favorably. All other features work very well. I like the interface better than the 2010 models. I haven't tried "Smart Hub" yet.
The form, finish and light show are just great. I prefer to lay it flat on top of my TV stand rather than stand it on edge as pictured I placed some plastic bumpers on the glass top to lay it on. It's a real showpiece.
Samsung really came through in the warranty coverage of the BD-D6800. They only charged $53 for the upgrade to the top of the line. I would absolutely recommend the player.
Want Samsung BD-D7500 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Silver) Discount?
I have bought 2 of these so far and BOTH have been DOA right out of the box. Samsung refuses to admit any problems. On both they wanted for me to send it in for repairs. Its $350 and DOA out of the box and they want to repair it. Here a novel idea, how about replacing it with a new one. And, how about a product recall, as I see many of reviews with problems. I am returning another one back to the retailer. And I noticed that Best Buy has pull it down from their web site. My guess, too many returns. Highly concerned about Samsung quality in their products. My TV's LCD/LED panel was made by Samsung, if their quality control is anything like it is for there most expensive Blu-ray, I am now concerned about my TV.UPDATE: Went to Best Buy 8-1-2011, they have a note in their system, that their stores are to send all of them back to Samsung as there is a defect in the players and they should be receiving new updated product. All the Samsung customer service folks will say is to send in for warrenty repairs. Very poor customer service Samsung, individual customer complaint repair, big box replace and tell the truth.
UPDATE 2: 9-30-2011 Just picked up a "new batch" model from Best Buy, and once again DOA out of the box, third one This is a piece of junk. I will be writing the CEO of Samsung USA about this product and why he continues to dump defective product unto the USA. I expect some CS type will respond.
UPDATE 3: I am now of my 4th one and it has work for three weeks playing both Blu-ray & DVD. This one does everything its supposed to do. I just hope that it holds up. Right now I am a very happey camper.
UPDATE 4: Well it worked for a while, but now its dead too. I will be filing a lawsuit in Texas alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practice Act, I have just had it with Samsung and this product.
UPDATE 5: Bought a new one (5th) this time with Best Buy Warrenty (they have a whole stack of them and Best Buy tells me that when they are gone there will be no more of them at Best buy, as they have stopped carrying them [I wonder why?]). Just took it home, played blue-ray, but will not DVD's. The reason I keeping getting this garbage player is it only one of 2 players that will wotk with my TV. The other is a Sharp HP90U and they are having the same problems too. The Sharp must be made in the same factory that makes this Samsung crap.Well I was in love until I went to use it the fourth time. No matter what Blu-Ray disc I insert all I get is a message telling me that the Disc does not meet a specification. I have the latest firware and did a live chat with Samsung support and they suggested to restore it to its original defaults which i did. If that didnt work the next step is it needs service really after only watching 3 movies? Now i'm over the Amazon return period and just read an update that there's something wrong with the Amazon inventory of this product. I really dont want to have a repaired player with only 4 weeks of owning it. They should recall all the players they sold and get us new ones. Please...Thank You....
